Apollo Global Op

Agents,

NIA researchers have observed that structural Portal stability increases exponentially when Agents deploy defensive XM constructs. To counter recent XM fluctuations, Ground Operations has issued a global directive. Agents are requested to systematically fortify local infrastructure alongside their squads and dismantle modifications to secure the network.

What

The Apollo Global Op is a coordinated effort to reinforce the XM network through heavy tactical modification. Agents are tasked with deploying and destroying Portal Mods to generate Apollo Mod Battle Points. This telemetry will be processed via the Scanner’s Dispatch interface to evaluate individual performance and Faction influence.

When

The operation window opens 26 August 2026 at 18:00 UTC and concludes 16 September 2026 at 18:00 UTC.

Procedure

The Scanner will credit Apollo Mod Battle Points based on the following operational metrics:
Neutralization Actions

  • Destroy a Portal Mod: 1 Point (Can be earned repeatedly on the same Portal)
    Deployment Actions
The NIA prioritizes new defensive configurations. Points are awarded based on the rarest Mod an Agent deploys on a unique Portal during the event window. Agents can upgrade a Portal later by deploying a rarer Mod to increase their score. Deploying multiple Mods of the same rarity on the same Portal will not grant additional points.
  • Deploy a Common Mod on a distinct Portal: 2 Points
  • Deploy a Rare Mod on a distinct Portal: 4 Points
  • Deploy a Very Rare Mod on a distinct Portal: 8 Points
    Collaboration Bonuses
NIA researchers hypothesize that multi-Agent deployment creates superior structural integrity. Points are awarded to all participating Agents when multiple distinct Agents deploy Mods on the same distinct Portal.
  • 2 Distinct Mod Deployers: 6 Points to each participating Agent
  • 3 Distinct Mod Deployers: 10 Points to each participating Agent
  • 4 Distinct Mod Deployers: 16 Points to each participating Agent

The Scanner will credit participating Agents based on the maximum number of distinct collaborators achieved on a given Portal during the event window. Deploying Mods with a different group on a Portal you have already maxed out will not yield duplicate points.

Individual Rewards

The Campaign is divided into multiple Stages within the Dispatch interface. Stage 1 consists of three distinct assignments:

  • Assignment 1 (Bronze Tier): Accumulate 50 all-time Apollo Mod Battle Points to authorize the Bronze Apollo Global Op Medal and receive 2,500 Apollo Tokens.
  • Assignment 2 (Silver Tier): Accumulate 500 all-time Apollo Mod Battle Points to authorize the Silver Apollo Global Op Medal and receive an additional 2,500 Apollo Tokens (5,000 cumulative tokens).
  • Assignment 3 (Gold Tier): Accumulate 1,000 all-time Apollo Mod Battle Points to authorize the Gold Apollo Global Op Medal and receive an additional 5,000 Apollo Tokens (10,000 cumulative tokens)

Stage 2 and Stage 3 are available to Agents who choose to Restart the Campaign after completing Stage 1. While Stage 2 and Stage 3 do not yield additional Apollo Tokens, the NIA will provide high-level logistical rewards (items) to support ongoing network stabilization efforts.

Faction Score

2,000 Apollo Season Points shall be distributed according to the total of Apollo Mod Battle Points accumulated by all members of each respective Faction.
All proportional allocations will be rounded to one decimal place. Official results will be publicly announced within one week following the conclusion of the Global Op via a dedicated Season Score update published on ingress.com/news.

Coordinate your squads, fortify the network, and ensure the Portal Network remains under your Faction’s influence.
The world around you is not what it seems.
