Agents,
We would like to address the recent leaked information regarding a new medal called “North Star” that has been circulating on the XM network and social media platforms. We can confirm that the leaked information is accurate, and we are excited to announce that this North Star Medal will be available on your Scanner soonTM.
To earn credit towards the North Star Medal, Agents will need to stand opposite of the northernmost Resonator (marked by the arrow icon or compass icon on the Portal Details screen) and orient their Scanner device due north while Glyph hacking. North Star Points are only awarded if the entire Glyph hack sentence is successfully completed and the Scanner device also maintains its orientation for the duration of the Glyph hack.
Please note that XM turbulence, GPS drift, tall buildings, clouds, and large birds may require Agents to shift left or right to maintain both their orientation and position of the 6-DOF parallel manipulator in the joint space coordinate.
The North Star Medal can be earned by any Agent after unlocking the following tiers of North Star Points:
- Bronze Tier: 401
- Silver: 20,000
- Gold: 60,000
- Platinum: 200,000
- Onyx: 500,000
This new medal is designed to bring our investigation on XM to a higher degree. We hope Agents appreciate the addition of a new level of difficulty to an already demanding challenge.
We would also like to take this opportunity to condemn unauthorised release of any information or materials related to our Investigation on XM. We take great care to protect the confidentiality of our upcoming research and expect all XM sensitives and Research partners to do the same.
The leaking of videos on our tests is a breach of trust and we are taking steps to investigate the matter and prevent it from happening again in the future. We appreciate the excitement and anticipation surrounding our breakthroughs, but we ask that everyone respect our research process and wait for official announcements before sharing information publicly.
Thank you for your continued support, Happy hacking.
