XM investigations in 2023 will continue with Echo. To earn the Echo Anomaly medal, Agents must interact with at least five (5) Battle Beacons deployed at any of the nine (9) Anomaly sites by NIASection14. Agents are considered interacting with a Battle Beacon if they:
- Deploy or Upgrade Resonator (note: upgrading your own Resonators does not count)
- Attack or Destroy Resonator
- Destroy Portal Mod
- Destroy Link
- Recharge Resonator (note: this includes Remote Recharge)

On Ingress Second Sundays
The Ingress Second Sunday #Ingress2S events were introduced to encourage exploration and adventure, and we are ready to expand the idea by adding more variations to the ways you may earn this medal. While doing 6 unique Missions will still suffice through June, Agents could be asked to meet a different set of challenges starting from July onwards.
