In collaboration with Sony, we’ve added Audio AR and head tracking to Ingress 2.96.1 with Sony’s LinkBuds Series. Spatial audio creates a more immersive and engaging sound experience for all Agents, with new Portal audio for Enlightened, Resistance, and neutral Portals. Agents with Sony’s LinkBuds Series can enable Head Tracking to control their Agent Avatar’s direction or orientation simply by turning their heads.
For example, you can put your Scanner in your pocket in Battery Saver Mode, and hear Enlightened, Resistance, and neutral Portals with spatialized sound so you can notice more of the real world around you. To quickly hack, tap and hold on a Portal on the Map screen, then slide to hack it with a Portal Key or not. To quickly attack, swipe up on the round Main menu button, then tap FIRE.
Additionally, Ingress will soon be featured in the Sony Headphones Connect app and Sony website, and we look forward to welcoming new recruits to the fold.
